I am someone who likes to experience many things in life. My motto is if you don’t like what’s going on in your life, change it, do something different or move.

I decided to do just that in 2013. I needed a life change, but wasn’t sure exactly how that was going to happen. I then met a new friend that introduced me to the world of the middle ages. That introduction has changed my life and my family’s life forever. I now live a life that is intertwined, I would have to say 60% medieval 40% mundane. What that means is that there is so much in both worlds that relate to each other that it sometimes it is almost seamless.

So in my everyday life I am a small business owner. I started my own Alteration/consignment shop 11 years ago and loved the independence it gave me. I had small children at the time and wanted to be available to come to their aid if needed at any time with out having to ask a boss “can I”…..Eventually that business morphed in to the business I own today. I own the company with my husband, called S & M Manufacturing. We sew high end leather and canvas bags for other companies, and we make other high end leather products as well. When I got in to the medieval life , my husband(then boyfriend) and I decided to try and sell some of the things we were making for ourselves. It caught on! So now my husband and I also have a small merchant shop called Sigrid and Magnus Leather Emporium, that we run at some of the medieval events we go to. We sell pouches belts, some clothing, and other items.

So in our copious amounts of free time we also attend numerous medieval events, gatherings, attend business meetings, plan,organize and run events, along with our mundane life spare time activities as well.

So all of this brings me here. I wanted to start this blog to share all of my loves, likes , tips, ideas, and what I have learned.
