    I was introduced to the Society for Creative Anachronism by a new friend who had been a part of it for 27 years. The Society for Creative Anachronism is a world wide organization that is dedicated to the re-creation of life during the Middle Ages. I would describe it as being a part of a community who actively immerses themselves in gaining more knowledge and understanding of history through the act of doing activities,research,combat,events and demos. In the 10th century a long close-fitting robe was in fashion, sometimes with a deep V-shaped neck opening, though usually the neck was cut to a round form.
